The VitiGEOSS project was presented at the Advanced Factories Congress, a key annual event for leaders in industrial innovation, held from April 9 – 11 in Barcelona.
Eurecat Technology Centre, the project coordinator, represented VitiGEOSS at the event. The project was included in Eurecat’s corporate catalogue, which was shared both online and at their booth (D513) in Hall 4, attracting attention from numerous attendees.
Throughout the congress, Eurecat presented a range of its initiatives, offering in-depth insights into its work across advanced manufacturing, robotics, industrial digitalisation, and printed electronics.
VitiGEOSS, in particular, drew interest for its innovative approach to precision viticulture. The project has developed an intelligent digital platform designed to support more sustainable vineyard management and improve crop resilience to climate change. By leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), remote sensing, satellite-based Earth observation, and in-field sensors, VitiGEOSS delivers forecasts and recommendations aimed at enhancing vineyard sustainability.
The Advanced Factories Congress brings together top innovators and professionals in automation, digital manufacturing, robotics, and machine tools. The event highlights transformative technologies that are shaping the future of Industry 4.0, promoting competitiveness, efficiency, and the adoption of new business models across the industrial sector.
