VitiGEOSS in a nutshell

A single entry-point solution for wine producers aiming to boost vineyards sustainability

VitiGEOSS project integrated and improved existing solutions coupling satellite imagery with in-field sensors to increase resolution and reliability of satellite information applied to all aspects of viticulture and specific wine-business operations.

We are offering wine producers an innovative commercial information solution to optimise sustainable grapevine cultivation via decision support systems (DSS) on phenology, irrigation, fertilisation, disease and business and sustainability management.

VitiGEOSS goal was to contribute to a responsible production of wine by minimising the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides and offering tools for a better management and optimisation of resources for greater sustainability

VitiGEOSS solution has been validated in three vineyards of top European wine producers in Italy, Spain and Portugal.

The vineyards from the end users have been used for the calibration and validation of the project’s services.

Our team

VitiGEOSS interdisciplinary consortium was made up of 9 partners from 4 European countries. 4 research institutions, 2 technological companies and 3 wine producers.
