Eurecat, the VitiGEOSS coordinator, presented the project during the Food4Future – ExpoFoodTech celebrated from May 16th – 18th in the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (Spain).

Marta Otero, project partner and PhD researcher at the Applied Artificial Intelligence Unit of Eurecat, participated in the session “Artificial Intelligence and other technologies in agri-food production” presenting the VitiGEOSS project and talking about the importance of undertaking digitalization processes in the agrifood industry, as well as the most significant present and future trends.

During the congress, Eurecat which has its own booth, showcased VitiGEOSS as one of its key research projects in the agriculture sector. The project, funded under the Horizon 2020 programme, is developing an innovative vineyard tool based on the integration of Earth Observation Services and in-field sensors.

The Food4Future – ExpoFoodTech is an important platform to discover the latest innovations and trends which are leading the transformation of the food industry.
