The VitiGEOSS project was represented during the 2nd Clustering event “Solutions to support the current and future needs of CAP monitoring and agriculture sustainability”, organised virtually by the ENVISION project last 30th of June.
Ernesto Bastidas, project partner and Business Line Leader Agriculture at eLEAF, and Raimon Fabregat, researcher at the Applied Artificial Intelligence Unit at Eurecat, participated in the session “Tangible outcomes from European projects”, presenting the VitiGEOSS project’s solution, an innovative vineyard management tool based on the integration of Earth Observation services and in-field sensors with the objective to increase the resolution and reliability of satellite information applied to the viticulture sector.
Additionally, representatives from the European projects AgriBIT, CALLISTO and SPACE4GREEN attended the event showcasing their latest innovations and solutions to promote agriculture sustainability. On the other hand, representatives from EuroGEO Agriculture Action Group participated in the event talking about the future of EO for CAP and agriculture.
The event had the objective to expand the connection among European projects dealing with Earth Observation technologies for monitoring farm management activities with regards to sustainability in compliance with CAP, towards further activating collaboration and complementarity.
